Patina Forever: Bagged Chevys and Old Trucks

By Devin B.

Fresh paint is easy to buy. Patina has to be earned, or at least left alone. The cars in this set wear decades of fade like a badge, and their owners clearly would not change a thing.

The star here is a bagged 1950s Chevrolet sedan in turquoise patina with bicycles strapped to the roof. Let the air out and it sits right on the ground, door open, hood up. Around it are a blue Chevrolet Task Force pickup with its worn paint intact and a lowered C10 that takes the same approach.

What makes this look work is the contrast. The body says barn find while the stance says somebody spent a lot of time getting every inch right. It is a look that runs through hot rods, classic trucks and everything in between. These frames are from Las Vegas.
