Built to Crawl: Lifted Rigs on Big Tires
By Devin B.
Lift is the first thing you notice and the last thing that matters. The real story on a rig like these is what is going on underneath: how the axles move, how much tire the fenders clear and how the thing will sit when one corner is up on a rock.
This set comes from Las Vegas, and it covers a lot of ground for a few frames. There is a Jeep pickup built for rock crawling, a group of off-road rigs on big tires and a black Silverado sitting up high on long-travel suspension.
Stand next to one of these and your eye line lands somewhere around the door handle. That is the appeal. A lifted truck changes the shape of a familiar vehicle into something that looks ready for terrain you would never point a stock truck at. Scroll through and check the stance on each one.
